"Best Campground in Alaska"
2 days agoReviewed by feltsoul

This has to be the best kept campground in Alaska! We have just spent a month traveling all throughout Alaska and can honestly say this is the best. Grounds are grass, immaculate and quiet. Laundry is clean with several washers and dryers. Bathrooms are also immaculate. Staff super friendly and ready with lots of great suggestions for things to do in and around Haines. A short maybe quarter mile walk to center of Haines. Even closer to fairgrounds and Saturday farmers market. Just traveled 10000 miles from lower 48 through British Columbia, Yukon and Alaska and this campground is the best.

"Amazing campground"

One of the best campgrounds we have stayed at! The grounds are very neat and well kept (grassy sites); the washrooms are the cleanest we have ever seenat a campground...absolutely spotless, well lit and ventilated (3 shower and 2 toilet stalls in the ladies); the staff were all pleasant, informative, and welcoming. The campground is a bit of a walk to town (about 15 minutes for a short slow walker), but the view of the mountains all around is spectacular! Would definitely recommend this to everyone!

"a great stay on a great"

this is an unbelievable campground. it has no trees but instead it offers plenty of space for the rv on a wonderfull green lawn. everything is clean and tidy and the laundry also offers baskets in addition to a big table. the lady who welcomed us has a great sense of humor.

"Good facility. Nice showers. Helpful staff."

We enjoyed our stay here...the grounds were impeccable with lovely flowers. It was around $50....well maintained, great showers....super clean. If you have an RV and are going to Haines, this would be the place to stay. Super fast WiFi. 92 spaces.

The toilet facilities are so clean that you want to take off your shoes are shower before entering the warm and free. Free wifi and the hamlet is within walking distance. “Quite nice little gem”
This is more for the big RVer than the camper but it is a nice stop. Close to downtown. Laundry is good but a little pricey. Park on the grass. Nice clean showers. RV Wash across the street. If you are not looking for hook ups the state park a few KMS away at chilkoot lake is good too

This is a very neat, clean and well-equipped campground. The rest rooms and laundry were very clean and well-equipped. The staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed in 60+ campgrounds over a 3 month trip and this was one of the best!

“4-day stay”
5 of 5 stars

This was the very best RV park we have stayed in since arriving in the Yukon two months ago. We have traveled by RV all over Alaska and stayed in some pretty miserable excuses for RV parks. Haines Hitch-Up is excellent in every way. Incredibly clean laundry room with new washers, spotless everywhere, lawns well cared for and manicured, good hook up services and Wifi. This is absolutely the most wonderful park we've experienced yet. Walking distance to the very interesting town. We highly recommend it to any RVer.

Stayed August 2016, traveled as a couple

This place is well kept and beautiful. The lawn looked like it should be on a golf course. Everything was spotless. The laundry was the best I've used in a long time. We stayed a week and found the staff very nice and helpful. Walking /biking distance to downtown Haines and Fort Seward. Adequate space between sites.

"Clean and well maintained"

Reasonably quiet RV park near downtown. All the spaces are on a well manicured lawn.

The showers are as clean as any I have seen in Alaska. The staff was friendly and the rates seemed fair.

The have a lot of different options with their rates.
